Women doing the Wim Hof Method.
My name is Anita Klein.
I'm from Germany, and I'm a part-time yoga teacher
And I'm very interested in doing outdoor yoga
And I do that a lot.
I go out in the morning. My training time is like 5:00 - 5:30, in the morning
Which is not for everybody, but...
It's for me.
And I practice outside.
I practice the breathing.
And I combine it with some yoga exercises, some bending
And stretching and I put in the breathing
And yeah, I get going for the day that way.
Somehow, some years ago, I found Wim's book
'Becoming the Iceman'
There were all these stories in, about the guy doing stuff
And so I thought 'I have to find out myself'
So, I went to Poland for a week with him.
And right now, I'm standing here with bare feet.
I really love him. He has such a big heart!
And his mission is something that we really need
I'm not into Masters or anything. I mean, I'm very critical.
But the simplicity of how he does things and the strength
And the wisdom it generates, that is something very special.
As a human being, he's very accessible.
He is around and speaks with everyone.
Yeah, great guy, and I wish him really well
On his big journey!
Even if we are out like this, with ice and snow
It's more about the psychology
Of what you can do about your personal limits
And I think that's very important
To learn more about those things
To achieve good health, and to...
Yeah, to have a happy life because you feel strong from the inside.
It's not so much about what tons of medication we can buy
And whose doctors can we believe?
It's more about finding the inner strength.
And finding the inner strength from nature, and it's so simple.
It's all around.
I'm a yoga teacher. I love the breathing exercises
And they're really... I mean, I needed to try out.
There is something different than what I did so far.
And I think they are very very
Effective in getting calm.
Also, regulating the body temperature.
And you get control over your mind, and your body.
It's very effective!
It may sound that the Wim Hof training is something for tough guys, but
I believe many more women should do it
Because it's about inner strength. It's about the strength that we need in our lives
With our kids, with our husbands,
With plenty of jobs we do. We need this inner strength.
And connection back with nature.
I think that's most important also for women, and to stabilise women.
And a certain softness.
It's all about the heart.
And strengthen the body so
I think it's very important for women to do it!
Especially!
