Nose or mouth breathing - Which is better? | #AskWim
Hi guys.
Welcome to the Q&A about the Wim Hof Method breathing bechniques.
Questions and answers.
Here it is.
What is better? Nasal breathing or mouth breathing, when you inhale?
I say it doesn't really matter.
But when you begin with this...
these breathing techniques are a very strong way to get in tune with your body..
You have more control if you apply nasal breathing,
I’ve seen people inhaling through the mouth and losing their control,
freezing up their bodies like...
And that's because they go in to forcefully
and they have to still build a relationship with the strong consequences of this technique,
which is the inner power.
It's an inner world.
You have to learn to cope with that.
It's like a relationship.
You don't start off.
“Hello!”
“I know you”!
“So nice!”
I know you also not know.
Easy does it.
And observe the changes withing your body.
Delicate and controlled.
Remain in control
and built up the control by nasal breathing.
That is the best way to start of you practice.
and at a certain moment, you know what is going to happen inside.
You can take it on any way you like
because you remain in control.
So that's about the nasal and breathing
while doing the breathing technique
And what is the best way to breathe during the day? (aside from Wim Hof breathing)
Now during the rest of the day,
What is better? Nasal breathing or mouth breathing?
I think it is nasal breathing.
It's easier because your ‘nitric oxide’ is produced in the nose
which dilates the veins.
your body becomes more relaxed
and it will improve blood flow through your system.
When you do mouth breathing, it's like
“Something is going on”
Adrenaline is being released
Constriction of your veins.
So you can react faster.
You are in the ‘fight mode’
We don't always feel that directly,
but for the long term...
Mouth breathing instead of conscious nasal breathing,
It creates more stress in your body.
So I advise
do more conscious nasal breathing during the day,
Conscious nasal breathing is amazing
You get more peace inside, more flow and more opening up.
of all the vains in your body,
We are talking about 100,000 kilometers of vains in the body,
that’s the vascular system that is being influenced
by the nitric oxide, which is produced when apply nasal breathing,
it stops at the moment you apply mouth breathing.
And another thing is to not force it.
Just take it easy.
As much as that
Good luck.
What if you are inhibited because you have breathing problems?
That could have numerous causes causes like COPD or asthma,
or being paralyzed
or whatever happens in the lungs
They are inhibited
which can make you unable to use the full capacity of your lungs.
Then conscious breathing
conciousness.
your neurology
is able to influence the capacity, which is physically inhibited,
but through conscious breathing you're able to open up more
to make better use of your lungs.
You'll always will have a better outcome
if you apply conscious breathing.
Trying to do your best,
not forcing,
just trying to do your best, with determination of your mind into conscious breathing
it opens up new possibilities in the damaged or inhibited lungs.
I even see this with people who are paralyzed.
They have deteriorating conditions of their lungs
because their vascular system is not being used.
They are lying there, and it's all connected.
Oxygen goes into the blood.
The bloods nutrients are not absorbed well into the system,
So the breathing is not as effective
and thus the conditions of the lungs deteriorate.
This happens a lot.
And those people can experience many benefits
even when they are inhibited in their lung capacity
to make oxygen going in.
They are experiencing a lot of benefits by conscious breathing.
So if you are physically inhibited,
apply conscious breathing and you can experience new possibilities.
Good luck.
