Does Wim Hof believe in God? | #AskWim
Hey, guys. Questions and answers. Here I am.
Who is my favorite musician?
I absolutely like Pink Floyd.
You know, the whole band, not only Roger Waters.
and The Rolling Stones, also great.
Lou Reed.
I used to listen to Bob Dylan a lot.
Neil Young.
And yeah, I'm not so much into the modern stuff.
I'm more of the 60s, 70s, 80s at the most.
Coldplay. Very nice.
Beautiful. And yeah.
Red Hot Chili Peppers. Nice.
Yeah. And then, of course, the Gladiator
kind of music and then
Einaudi the pianist.
I like tribal music.
It has a soul to it.
It always goes on.
Beautiful. Beautiful.
And then last but not least, my own music.
I like to drum. I like to play.
I love music. I love singing.
I do singing every morning.
Tones are connected to the spine.
They are very good for loosening up the neurology of the spine.
And with that, the cardiovascular system, the whole thing, make you flow.
So keep on singing, guys.
Music is my first love.
What is my biggest insecurity?
I could fail like anybody. Like instantly.
I just had a friend of mine
called me and he has cancer, mastersized cancer.
And he's helping people who are paralyzed.
And we are doing the study on paralyzed people right now.
And he's getting cancer. Why? Why he?
He is a good man.
He's helping others, always.
So, it can be over in a moment.
I'm afraid of failing.
Also, my drive is so strong, I'm not thinking of these things.
I just keep on going.
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.
So that's also part of my mentality.
So till the last minute, till
when I'm going to pass away, I will be keeping on going.
So my only insecurity could be
that I'm not able to go on.
Do I believe in God?
I believe, belief is divine.
Believe in divinity is there,
regardless of whatever is your religion
and the embodiment is love.
We should love each other.
Not fight because of religion.
Not fight because your God is different.
God is always the same.
It's love, pure love, prosperity.
Imagine, what is here, all this light, all this greenery, all these shapes.
I mean, the miracle of life is so immense.
God is everywhere.
What is what little people know of me
and what could be interesting to know of what I'm doing, what I'm being.
That it is that I'm still bloody flabbergasted about what is happening.
I got so much fame
and so many people loving me and liking me and talking about me.
"Oh Wim, are you disturbed if I take a photo with you?"
I say “I'm disturbed if you don't.”
I mean I love it. I like it.
So, yeah, I still feel honored.
Because I think I came from such a dark place, such a deprivated place
that I can appreciate every moment I'm here.
Now I'm able to achieve my goal, which was
always to save the planet,
to save the animals, to save people, to bring love.
What people do not know is that I'm still that little person inside.
In Dutch language
they say "Ga niet naast je schoenen lopen" What is that?
"Don't be outside of your shoes".
Don't be bigger than what you are - it's says.
And I am not bigger. I'm actually smaller.
I want to stay humble. I want to stay little.
I want to stay in full gratitude
because then I experience so much more.
It's so much more beautiful. So that's me.
A small amount of people might know that.
And from now on,
a lot more people will come up to me and say "Can I have your photo?
Can you do this? Can you do that? Hey, I'm sorry.
I can do it all.
With pleasure. Somewhere
over the rainbow, way up high.
The're a land that we heard of
once in a little song.
